I did sneak out on Monday and watched a very good movie, “The Women”, it was awesome, Meg Ryan the oblivious wife, Jada Smith the lesbian rebel, Debra Messing the chronic baby maker, and finally Annette Benning the single older business women. Second DVD choice “Smart People” starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Quaid,  Thomas Haden Church, Ellen Page (Juno fame), so it had a very en-lighting cast. Based around Dennis and his character a English professor at Carneige Mellon University, struggling after his wife passes raising two children and working and not having a life. Sarah plays one of his ex students that re enters his life after an emergency room visit. The two of them play there characters well and believable, Thomas Haden Church does a great job of playing the quirky but loving Uncle, and Ellen Page just makes so much sense in this wise cracking role. So this one deserves 9 sissy sticks for  being witty and emotional. Making us all know that hey even the Smarties have problems, even more than the most average.
