I am going start picking the movie of the week on Wednesday from now on. This will give everyone the opportunity to pick the flick up. I look forward to this becoming more and more popular. Stubbie’s Movie Review of “Confessions of a Shopaholic”

We watch as Rebecca ‘Bex’ Bloomwood realizes her childhood dream of glam and gratification as promised by the magic of easy credit. However, a combination of her various compulsions and fashion industries sensual seduction slowly transform our heroine from a credit ‘valued customer’ to the target of a relentless credit collection agency.
After the unexpected loss of her income, Bex serendipitously lands a job for the magazine ‘Successful Saving’ where she meets our story’s love interest, Luke Brandon, played by a very British Hugh Dancy. While writing under the nom de plume ‘The Girl in the Green Scarf’, her unorthodox approaches to economics ironically bring her international acclaim and Luke’s admiration.
Trials and triumphs abound as Bex struggles with the concept of ‘cost versus worth’ while discovering her true personal values. No spoilers here, but Bex does prevail to turn her liabilities into assets and we have memorable and happy ending for all.
John Goodman (Coyote Ugly) revisits his role as the frugal father, who blows the family nest egg unknowingly due to Bex’s influence. Julie Hagerty plays a pivotal support role; Lynn Redgrave and John Lithgow make cameo contributions to the film’s most slapstick scene.
Recommend for everyone from those who speak Prada to anyone who ever had to manage their money. I give ‘Confessions’ three sissy sticks for its even delivery of comedy and ease of viewing. A bouncy film that will definitely supply your daily dose of laughter. All she ever wanted was a little credit…
Now for my review….Not much more I can say that Stubbie has not already said. And very well I might add. Thank you for that Stubbie. I would say that this film was fun and light hearted. Funny but serious when it needed to be. Ultimately it was sweet in places and very erotic and sexy in others. Especially with all the beautiful sexy clothes. This movie was made for the sissy that wants to see just how things are put together. For the manly stroker men and the chronic masturbators; you have plenty of pretty women to edge. Then letting yourself have the ulitimate orgasm. *giggles*
